Intuition

intuition

Intuition is part of the sixth sense. It is an awareness, the knowing of a fact or reality that is not related to any normal reasoning; comes to mind without proof, evidence, or understanding how the knowledge was acquired. It is an insight about events that may or may not take place. It surpasses all logic and is more than just a lucky guess. Intuition is your internal communication system, that inner voice that is on call at any moment. Everyone possesses the natural ability of intuition; however, some individuals are able to develop it much further than others.

Intuition is acquired through current events, past experiences and natural subconscious instincts. Somehow, all of this information is gathered up and stored within us, often referred to as having a “gut instinct or gut feeling”, subconsciously your intuition is at work. Think of your intuition as an internal guide (the inner voice) that you may choose to listen to, or in some cases, share with others.

We all have experienced inner feelings about a situation or a person at one time or another. It’s when you “just know” something is wrong or you may meet someone and immediately have a gut feeling about that person. For example, within seconds you sense whether their trustworthy or not. Or perhaps making a certain decision feels instantly right, even though you haven’t thought about it much.

Some people are more in tune with their intuition than others. For example, there may be times that you say, “I had a feeling or I knew this was going to happen. Learn to pay more attention to and trust and acknowledge your inner voice. Listening to that feeling or inner voice can be very useful in some instances, especially if you sense a person or a situation is dangerous. The number one thing that distinguishes intuitive people is that they listen to, rather than ignore, the guidance of their intuitions and gut feelings.

Developing your intuition is a personal journey. In order for it to blossom, you must nurture it and let go of any blockages within yourself. It takes practice, just as learning to play a musical instrument. Honing in on your intuition will equip you with a valuable tool with which to navigate life. Also, a heightened intuition will bring you one step closer to developing your psychic abilities.

If you want to get in touch with your intuition, a little time alone may be the most effective way. Just as solitude can help give rise to creative thinking, it can also help us connect to our deepest inner wisdom. Many methods are available to enhance your psychic development. I recommend to start by keeping a journal to grade your accuracy. Meditations, especially ones that help with the chakra alignment and balancing, are very important. They help you to stay focused and clear your mind of any mental chatter. As you practice and develop your intuition, remember to have fun. Look at it as an adventure to learn how to be smarter and more discerning in your life. The best way to know if intuition is accurate is to test it out, then observe the results in your journal. As I’ve observed time and again in my own life, there’s a whole world of information for your taking. Once you make a commitment to this journey, you will have opened the doorway to developing your psychic abilities.
